Ther (Chariot) Festival was held on 2nd June 2010. Lord Amaruviappan with Upaya Nachiyars was ready with a fantastic alankaram even at early morning at 4 am. After the usual Viswaroopam and Sathumurai of the day, 'Yatra Dhanam' was done, praying for safe journey in 'Ther'. Lord started his journey from the temple around 5 am, with scholars chanting Tamil Prabhandams. Usually, while going to Ther, there will not be any stop for Lord in the Veedhis, excepting for Mangalasasanam of Acharyas.
On the way to 'Ther', Lord Amaruviappan offered Mangalasasam at Sannadhis of Thirumangai Azhwar and Achayars of Sri Ahobila Mutt. Nadaswara Vidwans played 'Ther Mallari' to galvanise the environment.
at 5.30 AM, Lord Sri Amaruviappan was in Ther and a symbolic pull was done in the auspicious hours. Around 9.30 am, thousands of people gathered and publled the 'Ther' with chanting of 'Govinda Govinda'. By abaout 4 pm, Lord Sri Amaruviappan returned to temple, after completing the safe journey along four long Veedhis.
