Maha Samprokshanam of Sri Sengamalavalli Thayar Sametha Sri Amaruviappan Temple of Therazhundur was held on Monday the 24th May 2010 in the presence of Their Holiness Sri Ahobila Mutt Acharyas. After nearly four decades, only now this temple had a large scale renovation at the huge cost. This project was supported and blessed by Their Holiness Sri Ahobila Mutt Acharyas and Sri Andavan Swamigal. Many eminent Vaishnavite Scholars like Shri A M Rajagopalan (Editor, Kumudam Jothidam), Shri Velukkudi Krishnan and Shri Anantha Padamabhachar and others also involved themselves actively to complete this project. Sri Gosaka Bhaktha Sabha headed by Sri T P Ranganathan, Sri N Rangarajan and Sri A Devanathan and many others worked tireless to complete this project within a short span of 3 years. The officials of HR and CE also gave their whole hearted support to complete the project in time.
With the divine graces of Thayar and Perumal, the Maha Samprokshanam was held in a grand manner. It was a wonderful experience for all those who were present there and witnessed the historic occassion. We have produced a 9 minute movie to bring out the grand event. We have attempted to bring out the near live atmosphere in this small movie. We have used the still photograhs with the live audio recorded during that occassion.
