As part of Sethu Samudram Canal Project (SSCP), Indian Government is attempting to destroy an anicent bridge popularly known as Adam's bridge or Sethu Bridge or Ramar bridge at Rameswaram, against protests from religous groups and scientists. The Government argues that there is no such bridge in the sea.
