Sri Amaruviappan (Gosakan) Temple at Terizhandur - A place to visit

Terizhandur is around 10 KM from Mayiladuthurai. Sri Sengamalavalli Thayar sametha Sri Amaruviappan presides over the ancient Temple. This Temple is one of the 108 Vaishnavite Kshetrams of our country.

This is also the birth place of Sri Kavichakravathy Kamban, who wrote Kamba Ramayanam.

Sri Gosaka Baktha Sabha, a voluntary organisations by the devotees of this great temple is maintaining the kainkaryams of this temple. The SAbha reconstructed the 'Thiru Ther' which was destroyed by miscreants 55 years back. In 2005, Thiru Ther festival was celebrated after this long 55 years.

In this episode, Shri Uba. Ve. Gosaka Bhattachar explains the significance of this temple. In the background, you will find the pictures of 'Thiru Ther festival' of 2005.
